CAPM and PMP Training Details
Certified Project Management Professionals possess a proficient level
of project management and leadership skills. Add that to your SAP
skills and you have one combination of skills which is extremely rare
and in high demand.
The PMP was initiated in 1984 to recognize an individual’s demonstrated
understanding of the knowledge and skills to lead and direct project
teams and to deliver results within the constraints of schedule,
budget, and resources. Candidates for the PMP credential ensure that
all of the aspects of the project plan are executed and that progress
and variances are properly addressed and communicated. They are
responsible for all aspects of the project for the life of the project
and not only lead and direct the project, but also oversee project team
members.
Who Should Attend
Individuals who need to strengthen their project management skill sets,
those new to project management, or project managers seeking a
refresher on fundamental project management knowledge, skills and tools.
Pre-requisites
Students will learn and apply the PMI global project management best
practices. This course is a highly interactive combination of lecture
and PMP Exam practice tests. To measure student learning, a proprietary
Personalized Assessment is provided which includes Baseline and
Verification Tests and a custom study plan for the exam based on the
results of the tests.
To become a PMP, a student must have
Educational Background - High school diploma or equivalent
Project Management Experience 4500 hours if COLLEGE, 7500 hours if HIGH SCHOOL
Project Management Education - 35 hours of classroom training. NetCom's PMP classes meet this requirement.
Don't have enough Project Management hours that you can document?
PMI offers another certification track - CAPM or Certified Associate in
Project Management. To qualify for CAPM, a candidate needs:
Educational Background - High school diploma or equivalent
Project Management Experience - 1,500 hours of work on a project
team or Project Management Education - 23 hours of classroom training.
The CAPM certification and exam is based on the same course that
LearnSAP teaches in its PMP class. If you do not have enough hours for
PMP but do for CAPM, you can still attend the class and apply for CAPM
certification instead. The class hours will count towards meeting the
23 hours requirement for CAPM.
